The Time Is Finally Here...

“If you like it, then you should’ve put a ring on it…”
Sorry but that’s the official engagement song (in my head). Yes, we are playing Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies” to celebrate the engagement of Hollywood’s royal couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

“Yes, it’s confirmed,” Cynthia Pett-Dante, Pitt’s manager, told USA TODAY. “It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”

The couple who already have six kids and are just so attractive it’s truly unfair to normal humans — are finally tying the knot thanks in part to pressure from the little ones. Angelina Jolie is quoted as saying the kids had been asking why she and their dad weren’t official because, after all, “people get married in the movies.”
Ironically, the couple met while filming the movie “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” when Brad Pitt was going through a very public divorce. Despite all the drama and accusations of infidelity that followed them, the couple remained strong, shooting editorials together, appearing on red carpets, adding to their family, doing charity work around the globe and using their fame to make bold political statements. In fact, the couple famously said they wouldn’t get married until gay marriage was legalized in the United States. (In case you’re wondering, they were true to their promise).

Seven years, six kids and an undisclosed amount of tabloid covers later, they are finally making it official. Of course, Brad is going out of his way to make the milestone extra special. He designed the ring and took a year to do so: “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration with Robert. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
