I come to you with a heavy heart. On the 17th May, we found out the Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, passed away from lung cancer. And she was 63, gone way too soon. We aren’t creating icons faster enough to replace the ones we are losing. I mean, who is going to give us such life in such an extravagant way.
Donna Summer transcended eras… flawlessly. She sold millions of albums, won 5 Grammys with huge dance hits that still go off today like: Love to Love You Baby, Bad Girls, Hot Stuff, Last Dance and who could forget She Works Hard for the Money.
And then ladies, there were the outfits. She gave us a sparkly one-piece and leg. And it. Was. Everything. Sequins galore. Let’s get into it shall we?
