43rd NAACP Image Awards: Bright Stars And Colorful Gowns Fill The Red Carpet (PHOTOS)

All of black Hollywood stepped in style on the 17th for the 43rd annual NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles.
Color ruled the red carpet as Octavia Spencer wowed in an aqua Tadashi Shoji gown, Sanaa Lathan turned heads in an orange Escada dress, Jennifer Hudson was beautiful in a blue Maria Lucia Hohan number, Keke Palmer electrified in hot pink and Viola Davis was tantalizing in a tangerine Herve LeRoux.
Check out all the evening's vibrant ensembles and talented stars here.

Following her spine-tingling Whitney Houston tribute at last weekend’s Grammy Awards, Jennifer Hudson performed ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ with Ne-Yo at the Awards on Friday.
She also joined Ne-Yo to present the Vanguard Award to ‘Star Wars’ director George Lucas wearing a Maria Lucia Hohan gown.
The beautiful baby-blue silk gown dress features a draped bust and a twisted chiffon detail on the waistline.
Normally I would find a necklace of this size bothersome with this neckline, but I love it on this occasion.
A half-up, half-down hairstyle and a beautiful pink lip colour completed her look.
Jenna Dewan wore a similar gown to the Golden Globe Awards.
Tia Mowry joined her sister Tamara on the red carpet last night for the Awards, held at The Shrine Auditorium in LA.
She wore a BCBG Max Azria dress.
Her teal one shoulder dress with piece cut-out in the skirt to reveal one leg was teamed with bronze strappy sandals and a gold clutch.
The colour is great against her skin-tone, but the dress feel a bit all over the place like it’s not sure what it’s suppose to be.
She finished off her look with side swept curls and blue eyeliner
