Show Review: Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2012 Couture

Alexandre Vauthier is known for his sinewy svelte pieces, which leave little to the imagination thanks to deep v’s and dangerously high slits. The young designer kept the sauce factor on elevated levels for his Fall 2012 Couture presentation, sticking to a neutral palette of whites, tans, and golds, playing beautifully with proportions and high hemlines.

Models like Jasmine Tookes, Hanaa Ben Abdesslem, and Sui He flaunted peplum blazers over thigh skimming mini skirts or skinny trousers, completing the looks with gold rimmed clutches and Christian Louboutin heels.

One shoulder dresses boasted high thigh slits, while other strapless numbers came equipped with oodles of gold necklaces to cover bare breasts.

Not to be overlooked were the brand’s copious furs, which stood out in white and soft brown...hmm, i love the bling bling details <3<3

Vauthier truly brought the collection to the ‘couture’ level with a series of pieces bedazzled with stones, gold, beading, and mesh.

I can see starlets like Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, or Ciara slipping on any of these creations, and Rihanna could work the stuff out of any of the jumpsuits, no?

I'm loving this collection cos i like working with lycra and stretchy fabrics too

What do you think of Vauthier’s latest?
