Hot! or Hmm..: Kim Kardashian’s Millions of Milkshakes Cut Out Dress

Kim Kardashian promoted Millions of Milkshakes in Kuwait in a form fitting long sleeve white dress equipped with sheer cut outs:

She completed her look with gold tipped white pumps and a smoky eye.

Kim has come under fire for wearing such a revealing and sultry dress in a decidedly conservative country. While I love the dress, I have to agree with the critics. Great ensemble, perhaps wrong occasion.

*In other news, Kuwaitis are krazy for Kim! See how they reacted to her here:

*We’re still searching for Kim’s dress, but have heard a lot of chatter that it might be a custom creation by Stephane Rolland. Though we can’t find her exact look on the runway, Rolland’s Spring 2012 couture collection featured gowns with similar tubular gold belts and cut outs:

Kim is a fan of Stephane Rolland designs, so wearing one of his dresses is very plausible. Stay tuned!

Hot! or Hmm… Eve’s Bib Necklace and Gio Diev Milo II Sandals

Eve was spotted at The MAC AIDS Fund’s $250 Million Milestone during The International AIDS Conference in Washington, D.C. She paired a sleeveless wrap jumpsuit with some bold accessories including a black obi belt, a $436 Dannijo Donatella Bib Necklace, and a pair of Gio Diev Milo II Sandals:

Her hair and makeup? Work Eve! I would have preferred a red or coral lip to play off the shades in her necklace, but she still looks hot.

Her bib necklace is definitely a statement piece, featuring red and coral beads and horn embellishment.
Her platform sandals are an expert study in colorblocking, also boasting leather cord detailing for a barbed-wire effect.

Hot! I think the obi belt is a little much with the necklace playing centerstage, but I don’t mind it here as I think cinching the waist was essential to the look. I also wish that the length was just a bit shorter to show off her amazing shoes.
If you’re feeling Eve’s look, get some ways to recreate it here.

Julissa posed with fellow Empire girl Adrienne Bailon in a $1,760 Altuzarra Finch tropical-print cotton-blend blazer:

The chic piece, now on sale for $1,076, has a black collar, breast pocket, front flap pockets, and a back vent.
Hot! Hot! Hot! I want one!!

At any rate, if you’re up for the splurge, get yours at Net-a-Porter or Barney’s.
As an aside, has anyone checked out Empire Girls?

I actually like it! The girls are super sassy and also their make-up! It’s cool that Julissa is showing her journey to getting the hosting job of her dreams while living with her parents in Queens. Check it out on the Style Network.

Hot! or Hmm… Salma Hayek’s Prometheus UK Premiere Bottega Veneta Fall 2012 Dress

Salma Hayek was spotted at the UK Premiere of Prometheus in London. For the occasion, she wore a form-fitting lilac dress with sequin detailing from Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2012 collection, with a plum-colored clutch and pumps:

She pulled her hair back into a sleek ponytail and gave her look an added pop of color with hot pink lips. Flawless!

Check out her look on the Fall 2012 runway.

The dress is definitely better the way Salma wore it, without the Fall accessories. It hugs her curves in all the right ways, but I wish she would have opted for a different shoe pairing: her pumps are too chunky for such a delicate look.

Style Inspiration

This Look is sleek and sophisticated, with an edge. Try this look for any event and you and you will never go wrong! The red blazer is amazing paired with these Michael Kors leopard shorts. Add a slouchy white tank underneath for a relaxed feel.

This Marc Jacobs clutch adds a brilliant pop of color. I love L.A.M.B. heels because they are stylish and unique, as well as affordable. These black wedges are a great compliment to the shorts. Pile on fun accessories like gold rings, a statement necklace, and Alexander Wang cat eye sunglasses. A touch of red lipgloss is shimmery and sexy for a summer night.

(Side note: You can find this exact red blazer from Red or Dead here.)

Easy Steps To Apply Flawless Everyday Makeup!

To have the best looking daily makeup, for school, work/office, you have to apply makeup properly from start to finish. Id show you how in quick easy steps.
1. Makeup must be applied on healthy clean skin. So wash as usual, exfoliate twice a week, tone, and moisturize.
2. Use a foundation primer always before applying foundation. What this does is set your foundation in properly, hold back sweat and allow makeup last longer.
3. Apply foundation, using a foundation wedge sponge. The wedge sponge might ultimately become your best buy for makeup ever. Application of foundation with a wedge is crease-less and toned out.

4. If you have blotches on your face, or blemishes/spots, dot concealer in right after foundation. I have had many clients ask whether to apply concealer before or after foundation. The best way is to apply concealer after foundation. This is because foundation already covers at least 60% of blotches, concealer just covers the rest of it. If you use a concealer first, the idea of using foundation to create a smooth canvas would be flawed
5. Next Apply powder to set foundation in. using either a powder brush or the same wedge sponge you used for foundation.
6. Fill in your already groomed brows with the right shade of brow pencil. For most African american/Black women, the brow pencils vary from different shades of browns. Remember, in filling the brows, what you are doing is creating a beautifully arched brow that is as natural looking as possible. So shade in, don’t draw.
7. Apply subtle shades of eyeshadow. For day makeup, you don’t want to come off as overly made up or coloured in. So you must use matte eyeshadows in warm palettes that complement your skin tone.

8. Use a pencil or liquid liner to line out just above your lash line, on the crease of your eyes. What this does is to pop out your eyes and balance your entire look. Lining your lower lash line isn’t so necessary but if you must be carefully not to shade in too dark.
9. Use a rich lengthening mascara to emphasize your lashes, sweeping the wand from left to right, in and out till you have got the desired look

10. Apply lipstick and/or gloss to finish up your look. Dab powder again and you are ready to go!

Rihanna in White Adam Selman at the LA Premiere of Battleship

The Battleship juggernaut has reached American soil, and recently premiered at the Nokia Theatre in LA. For the occasion, Battleship star Rihanna slipped on a white halter gown by Adam Selman accented by Neil Lane baubles:

Though draped, the sexy little number aptly showcased Rihanna’s figure, boasting a low cowl neck, high slit, and low back.

She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik sandals and a bold red lip.

Good googly moogly, this dress is hot! Certainly not the best outfit she’s ever worn on the carpet, but she pulled this off. And I love a high slit.

5 Acne Prevention Tips

I can’t seem to stop having random acne breakouts! One minute my skin is smooth like buttah baby, and the next I see little visitors popping up all over my face. I finally got some answers when I chatted with Sherrell Dorsey on Facebook, a licensed esthetician and natural beauty expert who is the brain behind Organic Beauty Vixen blog.

Here’s what she shared about acne prevention/care:
1. Don’t go into product overload
I’m a firm believer that a person should use no more than 3 or 4 products. You need a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and a mask cream.
2. Keep Skin Moisturized
Some people make the mistake of ditching their moisturizers now that the weather is warmer but it’s still important to keep skin hydrated year-round. Skin should be kept hydrated in Summertime especially because this is when it becomes the driest.
3. Watch what you eat
The first thing that I usually ask my clients is if they’re eating a lot of dairy, wheat or sugar because those foods all can contribute to changes in skin.
4. Don’t pop your pimples
You shouldn’t pop your pimples. I treat a lot of scars because of that. Let it run its course and use a spot acne treatment at night.
5. Keep your hair out of your face
Sometimes your hair can be the cause of a random acne breakout because of the product and oil it contains. Try to keep it out of your face if possible.

Love how short and sweet Sherrell’s suggestions were. I guess skincare can be made easy by giving a little extra TLC.
