Bag Lust: Michael Kors Resort 2013

Ready for some new arm candy? Michael Kors is taking us all to Turkey for Resort 2013: the location of three of his new stores in the country’s largest city, Istanbul. Turkey is home to a melange of cultures, bordered by eight countries including Greece and Iran. This exotic mix makes the fashion top-notch with the rich and vibrant textures of the Middle East and the expert craftsmanship of Mediterranean artisans. Kors took this inspiration and a created a robust collection of bags in a wealth of sizes, shapes, colors, and exotic skins, all reflecting the country’s exuberant culture.




Exotic skins are a big part of the collection including crocodile embossed leather, python, and ostrich. Kors also presents a few silhouettes in metallic crackled leather, which reminds me of the streets of both his and my hometown: New York City.



Jewels and studs anyone? The collection has more than enough to go around and the glitzy styles are some of my favorite pieces.
