Bag Lust: Michael Kors Resort 2013

Ready for some new arm candy? Michael Kors is taking us all to Turkey for Resort 2013: the location of three of his new stores in the country’s largest city, Istanbul. Turkey is home to a melange of cultures, bordered by eight countries including Greece and Iran. This exotic mix makes the fashion top-notch with the rich and vibrant textures of the Middle East and the expert craftsmanship of Mediterranean artisans. Kors took this inspiration and a created a robust collection of bags in a wealth of sizes, shapes, colors, and exotic skins, all reflecting the country’s exuberant culture.

Exotic skins are a big part of the collection including crocodile embossed leather, python, and ostrich. Kors also presents a few silhouettes in metallic crackled leather, which reminds me of the streets of both his and my hometown: New York City.

Jewels and studs anyone? The collection has more than enough to go around and the glitzy styles are some of my favorite pieces.

Gorgeous! I want….all of them. Which one is on your wish list?

Shoe Lust: Charlotte Olympia Cruise 2013

The designer is debuting her Cruise 2013 offerings with Moda’Operandi, and she certainly does not disappoint.

Olympia serves us her trademark silhoettes– sky high heels with that sexy island platform, chunky wedges, kitty cat flats, and girly sandals, all uplifted by the tropical motifs we expect from resort collections.

The designer lets vibrant color blocking and satiny material do the bulk of the talking, but print has its role in these offerings as well. Bamboo stalks decorate a pair of wedges, while a Brazilian pastel print brings soft charm to a party of blinding tropical hues.

Olympia also offers a new crop of her famous Pandora clutches, with details like a bamboo and  bow clasp.

*Sigh* if only I had $1,095 laying around.

If you’ve got the coins, go get the pre-order

Style Inspiration: 3 Ways to Wear Orange Platform Heels

This is a great summertime chic look that you can wear for drinks with friends or to rooftop party. This grey Emporio Armani jumpsuit is the perfect neutral canvas to allow the coral heel to pop.

I love this colorful printed clutch by Lileauxashby (purchase here). It ties the jumpsuit and heel together perfectly and adds wow factor to the entire look. Accessorize with this artsy Jennifer Elizabeth Cuff and fun Lewis Henry Nicholas earrings. I especially love these clear Illesteva Leonard 2 sunglasses. A bright blue nail polish completes the look:
This second look is for my Dressed Down Divas! These platforms look amazing paired with cuffed boyfriend jeans and a sleeveless white button down. The icing on the cake is this utterly fab 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel, a true investment piece.

Throw on a sleek gold Swatch watch, fun earrings and a chic Ariel Gordon initial necklace. This cool fedora tops it off! And a diva never leaves the house without her lipgloss. Try a sexy berry or nude tint. Wear this look to a weekend brunch.
What’s Summer without a pretty floral dress? This one by Thakoon is a perfect compliment to the coral hued heels. A neutral ASOS clutch holds all your essentials and is a steal at $33!

Layered delicate gold necklaces always look amazing and go with everything. A turquoise Michael Kors ring and chic mini hoops complete the look. A nude lip and you’re set for everything from dinner to an event!
There you have it Denise! Three fab ways to rock you new Olcay Gulsen heels!
