The New Black Male Models

The fashion industry seems to be slower to embrace black male models relative to black female models and male models from other races or ethnicities.

The good news is we are seeing some consistency with black male models working, though it’s many of the same faces. Check out the following black models that have been strutting down the runways this season.

Mostly recognized for his Calvin Klein commercial with Cassie, Rob Evans is a black male model on the rise.

Naomi Campbell to Star in Oxygen’s New Reality Show ‘The Face’

It seems Naomi Campbell is headed to the small screen, mentoring young model hopefuls on Oxygen’s new reality show, ‘The Face.’
The show will feature models competing to become the next face of a major national brand. Naomi Campbell will act as a mentor as the girls pose for their lives with world renowned photographers and stylists for commercials, photo shoots, and runway shows. Sounds a lot like America’s Next Top Model…

About her new gig, Campbell said, “I am looking forward to working in partnership with Oxygen and Shine America to discover the next beautiful face of the modeling world. With ‘The Face’ the audience will get a real insider’s look at this exciting industry that has been so good to me. One lucky girl will become the face of a major brand.” I think Naomi C would make for great TV.
I’ll be watching :D
Will you?
